Director and Head of Wills and Estates at Thursfields. Qualified as a Solicitor in 2003, TEP since 2007; specialising in private client work including trust formation and administration, wealth succession and estate planning. Also having wide ranging experience dealing with the administration of high value and complex estates, especially intestacy matters. 

Former chair of the Law Society 'Wills and Equity Committee' (Member since 2012, Chair 2017 to 2020) and member of the technical committee advising the Law Society’s Wills Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS). Law Society representative to the joint Law Society, STEP and ICAEW advisory committee on the implementation of Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) for UK trust structures.

External tutor for the “Administration of Trusts” paper of the STEP Diploma for England & Wales. Previously involved with the Bristol Branch of STEP as committee member and former branch secretary.  

Contributor of five chapters of the Law Society publication “The Probate Practitioners Handbook” 9th edition and written a number of articles on various private client subjects for both legal and non-legal publications.

Speaker at the Law Society Private Client Section Annual Conferences on “Digital Assets in wills and estate administration” and at the recent annual national Solicitors for the Elderly conference at the British Library.  Speaking engagements also include local Law Societies, STEP Branches, other professional organisations and to non-legal audiences on a variety of topics.

As well as fee-earning  also focus on business expansion and the development of successful working systems and processes that place the customer at the heart of matter; building on a reputation for consistently delivering the highest quality legal services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Previously at Higgs & Sons and before that at Michelmores as Head of Probate Services and responsible for creating Michelmores Trust Corporation. Prior to Michelmores; Head of Legal Services at The Co-operative Trust Corporation for four years having set up the fiduciary services ready for the advent of Alternative Business Structures into the legal market.
