Berliner Cohen LLP is a mid-sized California law firm with offices in San Jose, Modesto, and Merced. Brian L. Shetler, a partner in Berliner Cohen's Trusts & Estates Group, focuses his practice on tax and planning issues, particularly in connection with the transfer of wealth between generations. With an LLM in taxation, a JD, an MA and a BA, Mr. Shetler has been practicing law in California for more than 25 years. He is also licensed in Colorado. He is the past chairman of Goodwill of Silicon Valley and has been involved in leadership with many professional organizations.  He is a frequent speaker at professional education events, including the annual Kasner Symposium held by Santa Clara University's School of Law.
