Rupert is a partner with Walkers and heads up the Wealth Structuring Team in Guernsey. Rupert qualified as a Guernsey Advocate in 2010 and specialises in all forms of trust and private client work. 

Rupert has substantial experience of working with high and ultra-high net worth individuals, their advisers, family offices and fiduciaries, as well as many of the leading financial institutions globally, on all aspects of international wealth structuring.  In particular he is instructed by many leading fiduciaries, financial institutions, Government Departments and UHNW individuals in respect of all aspects of local and cross-border:

·          private client advisory and structuring work;

·          impact investment and charitable structures; and

·          trust applications and regulatory investigations (including Dawn Raids).

In addition to non-contentious advisory and wealth structuring work, Rupert has appeared regularly before both the Royal Court of Guernsey and the Court of Appeal.  His practice includes acting for institutions, UHNW individuals, beneficiaries and trustees in contentious trust matters as well as in respect of various consensual applications to the Royal Court.  He is experienced in successfully conducting trials before the Guernsey Courts at all levels, both at first instance and on appeal.

Rupert's practice also involves assisting local fiduciaries and institutions with various regulatory issues, particularly in the field of directors' duties and liabilities and regulatory investigations.

Rupert is acknowledged as a "Leading Lawyer" in the "Contentious Trust" category in the 2017 Citywealth Leaders List.
